He offered to sell the dog back to Sylvester Stallone for thousands of dollars (a dog he bought from Sylvester Stallone about a hundred dollar) and a role in the movie “Rocky”, Sylvester Stallone agreed to the deal and got his best friend back.

After his first major movie Sylvester Stallone got his break in the movie industry because he stood by what he believed. He could have accepted the mouthwatering offer and maybe misuse it and his dreams would be left unfulfilled. 2. Confidence: Confidence is the key, it is hard for people to entrust responsibility to someone without confidence. Let everything about you speak confidently, from your appearance to your facial expression, carriage, charisma and speech. Even if you are nervous or your system is naturally accommodating some atom of fret, try as much as possible to conceal it. 4. Human relationship test: They want to know the level of your human relationship; they want to know how you will relate with their clients or customers. That’s why most times they engage you in conversation outside the working spare. At this point the smile you put on, language articulation and your courtesy would speak for you.

 

5. Loyalty check: The interviewer would also like to know the degree of your loyalty, that’s why they ask this question most times “why did you leave the previous company you were working” (answer: I want a bigger challenge in my career, a new working horizon after spending couple of years with them, I left them with a proper notice and on a good note), “are you presently in a contract with any organization or engaged in whatsoever thing that would limit your time. They want own majority of your time if not all, especially the banking industry. Giving them assurance of your loyalty to them would go a long way to give you higher advantage of gaining the employment.

If this old lady could be doing this to survive shame be upon any young able man begging or stealing for survival. The world is filled with so many wicked and desperate people hovering about as scents, friends and associates; you will find the very desperate ones mostly in our homes and offices. I will lay more emphasis on taking strict safety precautions in our offices or place of work, in doing so I will share real life experiences, so I crave your indulgence to read and learn.

A few months ago one of our close family friends was employed as a clerk in one of Nigerians prestigious federal universities, after getting the employment; he immediately applied for admission to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree in the same school he is working. He was so hardworking, humble and loyal to the university rector that he found favor in the sight of him both as a staff and student. Immediately after graduation this young man was promoted as the Liberian of the university, many of coworkers was congratulating him little did he know that these same people would later be his doom?  One faithful day this young man came to his office with his food park from home, he shares the same office with other junior staffs. That very day was on a Friday, he was supposed to go pick up his son who attends the university’s primary school which is not far from his office.  As he was leaving his office, he kept his food park right inside his office drawer without locking it. Shortly after, he came back with his son and right immediately he fetched the food from the drawer and he and his son ate the food together. Few minutes’ later father and son started bleeding, coughing out blood while eating, they were both rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately the father died, but the boy survived, it was later found that the food that they were eating was poisoned. This is the height of wickedness and evil manipulation in the office; none of his immediate coworkers sharing the same office attended his funeral.

So one has to be very careful in dealing with people even in the office or place of work, never leave your consumables or private properties open where anyone could reach it. If you must leave your office, leave with your food (consumables) or safely lock it, the world we live in today is filled with wicked and desperate and mean people.

When our correspondent visited Samas Hospital, a private health facility in Baruwa area of Lagos, there was no way of speaking with Boluwatife. She had been unable to speak since the attack, her family said. The girl had been induced to sleep by the hospital staff.

Her elder sister, Adeola, who narrated what happened, said she had feared that her sister might not survive the attack which left a long and deep gash on her neck.

A picture of the fresh wound showed part of the girl’s neck, flesh that is almost the size of a palm, hanging loose.

“The man used a razor to cut her neck,” Adeola began.

“There was no doubt that he actually wanted to kill her. It all started about 11pm when we were hearing a noise outside our house on Alhaja Wasilat Street, Baruwa. Someone was shouting ‘thief, thief’ and we all rushed outside but I did not realise my sister was not inside with us.

“When I went outside, I saw someone staggering towards us holding her neck. She was struggling to call for help. By the time I realised it was my sister, she collapsed on the ground.”

Saturday PUNCH learnt that soon after the attack, neighbours who had heard Boluwatife’s initial alert for help, were able to catch Buari who had attempted to flee at the time.

“When they caught him, the man was even saying that he regretted that she did not die. All I could do was scream for help as I went to where my sister collapsed.

“At that time of the night, nobody was willing to help us. No vehicle stopped for us to take her to the hospital. At a point, I had to go to the middle of the road pleading for help.

“Eventually, a young man at the scene picked her up from the ground and carried her towards the nearest hospital with the help of other eyewitnesses.”

By the time Boluwatife got to the hospital, she had lost so much blood that her soaked clothes were dripping blood, it was learnt.

Banging on the door of the hospital with screams, those who carried Boluwatife were admitted into the compound as the doctor on duty went to work on the barely conscious girl.

Adeola, said she had never seen the man who attacked her sister before that day and was sure he was not her sister’s boyfriend.

“The man must not escape justice,” she said. Their father, Gabriel, said he was not at home at the time of the attack but could not imagine what could have pushed the man to want to kill her daughter.

He said, “I even thought she was dead when I was called to the scene and saw the amount of blood on the ground.

“The place looked like a slab where an animal had been slaughtered. We are lucky that residents of our street called the beast who did this to my daughter.

“He said it to my face that he had no regret for what he did and was even angry that she survived the attack. At least, we are happy that he had confessed to the attack and we cannot wait to see him off to jail.”

The police at the Ipaja Division, Baruwa, have taken Buari into custody with promises that the suspect would be prosecuted appropriately since he had confessed to the crime.

The Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Ajewole Adebayo, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said Buari would be transferred to the Department of Criminal investigations, Yaba, Lagos, as soon as his men had finished their part of the investigations.

When our correspondent and child and woman rights activist, Esther Ogwu, visited the police division, Buari, who was still wearing the clothes soiled with bloodstains, had caked blood on his hands.

“I don’t know what came over me at the time,” he said. The young man who said he was from Abeokuta, Ogun State, explained that he dropped out of school in senior secondary year one.

“She is my girlfriend and I don’t have any reason to kill her. We did not fight. I just don’t know the spirit that came over me at the time I brought out a razor and slashed her neck. I know now that what I did was
terrible,” he said, as he looked away with.
Buari said both his parents were dead and that the only known relation he had was in Abeokuta.

He said he works as a barber even though he did not have a shop of his own.

Ogwu, who has taken over the girl’s case, said that the most important evidence of the case would be the explanation of the victim herself.

“Unfortunately, she is not in any condition to speak at this time. But like every case of assault involving women, we would ensure that the girl gets justice in this case,” she said.

7yr old girl walks away from plane crash in Kentucky; 4 others killed

The Kentucky State Police are responding to a report of a plane crash near the area of KY 810 South in the Suwanee community of Lyon County At approximately 6:30 pm CST, a 911 call was received from a Lyon County resident. The caller told police that a 7-year-old female had walked to his home reporting that she had been involved in a plane crash. The juvenile was in distress and was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

At the time of this release, a crash site has not been located, however; FAA Memphis Center has confirmed a distress call from a private aircraft in the vicinity of reported crash. At this time, the Kentucky State Police, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and multiple fire and rescue units are in the area conducting a search. The Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted and are also assisting. Additional updates will be sent as they become available.

Wreckage’ of missing AirAsia jet is spotted in sea

Reports reaching us is saying AirAsia flight that went missing
early yesterday morning may be at the bottom of the sea.

Indonesian officials have set a search party for the missing plane, hunting for the missing plane . They have spotted objects in the sea believed to be wreckage from
the plane which was carrying 155 passengers and 7 crew members.

Just this morning an Australian Orion aircraft detected suspicious objects near Nangka island, about 160 kilometres south-west of Pangkalan Bun, near central Kalimantan, which is about 1,120 kilometres from the location where the plane lost contact while an Indonesian helicopter saw two oily spots in the search area a few hours later, this is according to Indonesian officials.

Experts are suggesting that the aircraft was likely flying too slow to avoid a thunderstorm they encountered and this caused the plane to stall
and crash.

As the struggle for gay freedom in Africa is fought Bisi is one of the foremost gay activist fighting for the gay community in Africa he had an interview with NPR.com , 29 year old Nigerian Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, who was the first person to come out as gay on Nigerian TV, he talked about the challenges of living as a gay
Nigerian man, living with the HIV virus, his relationship with his immediate family members
and also about the Nigerian anti-gay law.

Alimi’s acting career was just starting to take off when his sexuality stole the spotlight. The
student newspaper at University of Lagos, where he was studying theater, threatened to publish a
photo of him with his then boyfriend. So Alimi beat them to the punch. He went on “New Dawn
with Funmi,” one of the most popular talk shows in Nigeria, and challenged a long-held belief that
homosexuality was brought to Africa by white colonizers. That was also the year Alimi was
diagnosed with HIV. Suddenly, his home country no longer saw him as a rising star. Alimi lost his roles on TV and on stage, many of his friends shunned him and the police even arrested him on unexplained charges.

In 2007, things got worse. He was detained at the airport on his way back from the United Kingdom, where he gave an interview to BBC
Network Africa, and was released two days later. Then a group of men entered his home and attempted to kill him. Alimi fled to the U.K. and hasn’t been back to Nigeria since.

Why are you happy about Nigeria’s harsh anti-gay law?

I see the law as a catalyst for change for good in Nigeria. You don’t understand what it is like to
fight a beast that you cannot see. Before the signing of that law, between 95 and 98 percent of Nigerians were in support of it. The latest poll says 88 percent of Nigerians now support the law. That’s a 10 percent drop. Some people who are not LGBT are now saying, “Did we just support a law that criminalizes people … for falling in love?” [When] you see that your uncle or cousin is gay, it kind of changes the conversation.

Speaking of family, how does your family feel about your identity?

I’m in a relationship that I can’t talk to my parents about — it’s like a big elephant in the room. But [the fact that] they want to accept me [as gay] is a form of support.
I was diagnosed [with HIV] in 2004, and I’ve never discussed it with my parents. This is my personal life, and I don’t want them to get
involved with it. Many times when I struggle with the challenges of being gay and being [HIV] positive, even living in diaspora and so many other things, I just really want to have somebody I can cry to who has blood lineage but I just said no.

So who is in your support network?

Mostly close friends. Many times it’s people I don’t know. I remember one incident when I was
at my university. I was going back to my room at night and I was stopped by two guys. They were
making very derogatory statements and becoming really aggressive. There was a [student] coming. So I raised my voice: “What did I do to you, why are you guys so frustrated with me?” ]The student] stopped and said, “What’s
going on?” I told her these guys were attacking me, and they said, “Oh he’s gay, he’s a faggot.” She just looked at them and said, “What if he’s a faggot? What’s your problem?” She stood up to them. These are the unsung heroes of my existence because anything could have happened that night.

Back in 2007, a group of guys tried to kill you and that’s when you fled the country. But did you ever want to leave Nigeria before then?

I was lucky enough to go through a 2-hour ordeal of being beaten and almost being shot in the head and escaping. If those guys are still alive, they might have read one or two of my interviews. I wonder how they feel that they
almost killed me. But I felt that leaving was never a choice until my mother said, “Do you still have reason [to stay]? I think you should leave.”

How did you react when when you were diagnosed with HIV?

By 2001 I started working in HIV prevention because I lost my best friend [to the disease]. So I was kind of aware. That was why my diagnosis was a shock to me. I broke down and started crying and thought like this is the end of my life because I have seen my friends die. It’s such a big thing that even within the gay community, if you’re positive, that’s the end of it. Nobody wants to talk to you or date you, but you become the story everyone wants to talk about. So I didn’t tell anybody. I carried it for three years before leaving Nigeria. I didn’t start medication until 2009.

If you had known about the treatments and support for HIV then, would you have reacted
differently?

No, because then I might still be in Nigeria. And I still wouldn’t want to talk about it because it would still be a death sentence. Treatment is a big challenge and people [in Nigeria] still don’t have access to it. And the support system is still
not there because of the stigma against gay men — it’s a belief that [HIV] is a punishment from God. So it’s very difficult to exist with that system.

How would you assess the progress across Africa in providing HIV treatment?

We are still betraying generations when it comes to HIV prevention and treatment. Many people still need access to this treatment and we still have children being born with the virus when we know we can prevent it. We’re lacking political willpower and funding to HIV projects. It has become a political game.

Being an advocate gives you a different kind of stage than acting does. If you had a choice, would you go back in to acting?

I think I studied theater because I was pretty much a drama queen [laughs]. Acting is my biggest passion. The unfortunate thing is that it’s something I would never touch again because it left a big scar in my life. Even when I did try to go back to acting, I kept thinking, “If you keep doing this, you’re going to bring up media interest again.” I have media interest now but it’s very humane. It’s not about who I kissed last night or who I’m hanging out with.

So you’re done with theater?

If there’s anything I want to go back to, it’s acting. I want to be back on stage dancing and acting, but I’m also very scared of it.

The summary of it all is that homosexuality is yet to be accepted in Africa most especially Nigeria, you are seen as a weirdo when you are gay in Nigeria .

AirAsia flight carrying 162 fromIndonesia to Singapore ismissing

It is not up to a year when a flight got missing in Asia,  it appears another one is missing again. An AirAsia flight carrying 162 people – 155 passengers, two pilots, four flight attendants and one engineer, which took off from the city of
Surabaya in Indonesia and bound for Singapore, lost contact with air traffic control about two hours after take-off, while flying over the Java Sea.

It was reported that138 adults, 16 children and one infant was in the missing flight. According to a statement released by AirAsia following the disappearance of the
plane.

Indonesia’s acting director general of transportation, said the last contact between pilot and the air traffic control was at 6.13 a.m.
on Saturday) “when the pilot requested permission to deviate from its submitted flight plan route due to weather condition.”

There was vigorous thunderstorm at the time. It’s been hours now since the plane went missing and there has been no update on the
plane’s whereabouts.

AirAsia has since released a statement about the people on board. They said the people on board included 156 Indonesians, three South Koreans, one French person, one Malaysian and one
Singaporean. But Britain has said one of their citizens was on board too .

Search and Rescue is underway for Flight QZ8501, hoping that something positive comes of the search.

North Korea blast US calling Obama a monkey

monkey” and blamed the U.S. on Saturday for shutting down its Internet amid the hacking row
over the comedy “The Interview.”
North Korea has denied involvement in a crippling cyberattack on Sony Pictures but has expressed fury over the comedy depicting an assassination of its leader Kim Jong Un.

After Sony Pictures initially called off the release in a decision criticized by Obama, the movie has opened this week.

On Saturday, the North’s powerful National Defense Commission, the country’s top governing body led by Kim, said that Obama was behind the release of “The Interview.” It described the movie as illegal, dishonest and reactionary.

“Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest,” an unidentified spokesman at the commission’s
Policy Department said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

“If the U.S. is to persistently insist that the hacking attack was made by the DPRK, the U.S. should produce evidence without fail, though belatedly,” the statement publish by KCNA said.

He also accused Washington for intermittent outages of North Korea websites this week, after
the U.S. had promised to respond to the Sony hack.

There was no immediate reaction from the White House on Saturday. According to the North Korea commission’s spokesman, “the U.S., a big country, started
disturbing the Internet operation of major media of the DPRK, not knowing shame like children playing a tag.”

The commission said the movie was the results of a hostile U.S. policy toward North Korea, and
threatened the U.S. with unspecified consequences.

North Korea and the U.S. remain technically in a state of war because the 1950-53 Korean War
ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

The rivals also are locked in an international standoff over the North’s nuclear and missile programs and its alleged human rights abuses. The U.S. stations about 28,500 troops in South Korea as deterrence against North Korean aggression.

An outraged crowd of about 60 people gathered behind police crime scene tape early Wednesday morning as the body of Antonio Martin, 18, lay in the parking lot in front of the Mobil on North Hanley Rd for more than two hours, according to eyewitness reports.

Police allege that Martin drew a handgun on the officer as he approached during a routine patrol. Witnesses saw a weapon at the scene next to the body.

 The officer fired several shots, fatally wounding him, according to the St. Louis County Police Department.

Fearing for his life, the Berkeley Officer fired several shots, striking the subject, fatally wounding him,” police said. “The second subject fled the scene.”

Toni Martin, the victim’s mother, said her son was with his girlfriend at the time of the shooting, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Nigeria Military jail Lt. Col.,15 others over abduction of Chibok girls

A Lieutenant Colonel, a Captain, a Second lieutenant and 12 other soldiers were sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Nigerian Military Court Martial which sat in Kaduna state yesterday Dec. 23rd over the abduction of over 200 female students of the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, Borno State, by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14th.

According to a Nigerian tabloid Punch the soldiers, Col. A. O. Ojo who was in charge of Chibok when the abduction took place, Capt. O. O. Ogunrinde, and 2nd Lieutenant V.I. Godknows were all handed two years imprisonment for what the  General Court Martial panel termed failure to perform. Col. Ojo was reportedly found guilty of passing out unverified information about the return of the abducted girls as well as not reinforcing the military personnel the night the abduction happened. In his response, Col. Ojo said he got information about the attack at about 1am at his station in Biu which was already late as the sect members stormed the school at about 11pm.

2nd Lieut. Godknows was charged with cowardly behaviour during the night of the attack. Counsel to Col. Ojo, Mr. Shuaibu Isah has however said his client would be appealing the verdict of the court martial through the office of the confirming authority which is the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah.

Nigerian federal govt raises alert over ISIS in Nigeria to Recruit Fighters

The Federal Government  of Nigeria has alerted the world over the presence of some agents of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, in Nigeria to recruit more fighters to empower their rebellious force . The National Coordinator, National Information Centre and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri made this known in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, David Akoji yesterday Dec. 23.

Omeri  declaired that intelligence information gathered by Security officials show that three South African nationals disguising as humanitarian workers are currently in the country to facilitate the recruitment of some Nigerians into the Islamic terror group. He appealed to Nigerians to be vigilant and report humanitarian workers with suspicious motives

“Nigerians are known the world over to be selfless, hospitable and humanitarian. We believe in the brotherhood of all mankind and no one should be allowed to take advantage of these virtues or turn them into vices. Nigerians are therefore advised to report to security agencies without hesitation, any group or non-governmental agency whose overt or covert activities are suspicious or have tendencies to jeopardise the innocence of our youths and the security of our people wherever they are in the world,” he said.

India’s BJP looks set to make gains in state polls

India’s ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janta Party is poised to emerge as an important political player in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, as votes in local elections are being counted.

By midday Tuesday, the BJP led in over 24 seats of the region’s 87-strong state legislature, a significant jump from the 11 seats it currently holds. The party had led an ambitious campaign aiming for a majority in India’s only Muslim-majority state, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting several times.

All the BJP’s seats continue to be in the Hindu-dominated areas of the Jammu region in Jammu-Kashmir state. The party failed to make inroads in the Muslim-majority Kashmir valley.

The BJP also looks set to win a clear majority in Jharkhand state.

North Korea’s Internet links restored amid U.S. hacking dispute

As the internet saga between US, Sony and North Korea continues ,North Korea experienced a complete Internet outage for hours before links were restored on Tuesday, but U.S. officials said Washington was not involved.

U.S.-based Dyn, a company that monitors Internet infrastructure, said the reason for the outage was not known but could range from technological glitches to a hacking attack. Several U.S. officials close to the investigations of the attack on Sony Pictures said the U.S. government had not taken any cyber action against Pyongyang.

U.S. President Barack Obama had vowed on Friday to respond to the major cyberattack, which he blamed on North Korea, “in a place and time and manner that we choose.”

Dyn said North Korea’s Internet links were unstable on Monday and the country later went completely offline. Links were restored at 0146 GMT on Tuesday, and the possibilities for the outage could be attacks by individuals, a hardware failure, or even that it was done by North Korea itself, experts said.

Matthew Prince, CEO of U.S.-based CloudFlare which protects websites from web-based attacks, said the fact that North Korea’s Internet was back up “is pretty good evidence that the outage wasn’t caused by a state-sponsored attack, otherwise it’d likely still be down for the count”.

Almost all of North Korea’s Internet links and traffic pass through China and it dismissed any suggestion that it was involved as “irresponsible”.

Meanwhile, South Korea, which remains technically at war with the North, said it could not rule out the involvement of its isolated neighbor in a cyberattack on its nuclear power plant operator. It said only non-critical data was stolen and operations were not at risk, but had asked for U.S. help in investigating.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye said on Tuesday the leak of data from the nuclear operator was a “grave situation” that was unacceptable as a matter of national security, but she did not mention any involvement of North Korea.

North Korea is one of the least-connected nations in the world, and the effects of the Internet outage would have been minimal.

Very few of its 24 million people have access to the Internet. However, major websites, including those of the KCNA state news agency, the main Rodong Sinmun newspaper and the main external public relations company went down for hours.

“North Korea has significantly less Internet to lose, compared to other countries with similar populations: Yemen (47 networks), Afghanistan (370 networks), or Taiwan (5,030 networks),” Dyn Research said in a report.

“And unlike these countries, North Korea maintains dependence on a single international provider, China Unicom.”

NO PROOF, CHINA SAYS

The United States requested China’s help last Thursday, asking it to shut down servers and routers used by North Korea that run through Chinese networks, senior administration officials told Reuters.

The United States also asked China to identify any North Korean hackers operating in China and, if found, send them back to North Korea. It wants China to send a strong message to Pyongyang that such acts will not be tolerated, the officials said.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday it opposed all forms of cyberattacks but there was no proof that North Korea was responsible for the Sony hacking.

North Korea has denied it was behind the cyberattack on Sony and has vowed to hit back against any U.S. retaliation, threatening the White House and the Pentagon..

The hackers said they were incensed by a Sony comedy about a fictional assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which the movie studio has now pulled from general release.

China is North Korea’s only major ally and would be central to any U.S. efforts to crack down on the isolated state. But the United States has also accused China of cyber spying in the past and a U.S. official has said the attack on Sony could have used Chinese servers to mask its origin.

The saga between Sony, North Korea and the US government stiffens with more controversies, here is  a brief summary by LIB
Sony Pictures released a movie called The Interview, a comedy about a fictional assassination of North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un.. North Korean didn’t find it funny and hacked into Sony’s computers, rendering thousands of computers inoperable and forced Sony to take its entire computer network offline. That wasn’t enough, they then threatened terror attack on US citizens if Sony doesn’t cancel showing the movie, forcing Sony to pull the interview from theaters and losing almost $200m. Then the US govt got involved and told Sony to go ahead and release the movie, that they don’t take lightly to threats and promised to retaliate for the attack on Sony. It looks like they’ve kept their to promise. North Korea is currently offline. funny isn’t it ?

BREAKING: Nigerian Military Sentences 54 Soldiers To Death For Mutiny

A military court in Nigeria has sentenced 54 soldiers to death after they were found guilty of mutiny.

The soldiers were convicted Wednesday in Abuja on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny. Represented by Femi Falana (SAN), the brunt of the defense’s case boldly argued that the soldiers were not guilty of mutiny as accused.

“My Lords, contrary to the general belief in military circles, protest by soldiers does not constitute mutiny,” Falana argued in his defense, obtained by SaharaReporters. Imploring the court to uphold precedent as established in the case Cpl Segun Oladele & 22 Ors. v Nigerian Army supra, Falana said “Can we safely conclude that the prosecution has proved all the ingredients in this charge of mutiny against the accused soldiers?”

“The answer is in the negative,” he said.

“In the instant case, the Prosecution did not prove that the order given to carry out a military act followed the standard or proper procedure of giving such an order; that the accused soldiers deliberately and by collusion disobeyed the order; that the disobedience and the acts strike at the foundation of discipline in the Army; that the accused persons used violence or threat of violence; and that the acts of the convicts ‘were deliberately designed to put the Nigerian Army in imminent danger’.”

Despite a thorough 48-page defense, the 54 soldiers were sentenced to death today.

Four other soldiers were acquitted.

Boko Haram still on rampage 185 women and children reportedly abducted in Borno state

Breaking news ! Reports from CNN  185 women and children were kidnapped by Boko Haram men during a raid on Gumsuri village 20km from Chibok in Borno state on Sunday December 14th. Men were shot, homes were burnt and women taken away. This is the largest rounding up of women and children since the abduction of Chibok girls in April 2014.

32 people including the Chief Imam of the village were killed. Leaders of the opposition vigilante were also killed. Word of the attack was slow to emerge due to the destruction of telecoms towers in the community. Nigerian military are yet to react to this latest attack. But my question is how do these terrorists take 185 people away? Do they come with so much vehicle to convey these people

Man Mauled By 3 Lions After Jumping Into Their Cage

A man escaped death by the whiskers after he was mauled by a pack of lions after jumping into their enclosure at Barcelona Zoo
Justo Jose, 45, remains in intensive care with serious injuries after he climbed into the lions’ den, where he was attacked by three of the animals for about half-an-hour before he could be rescued.

Yesterday afternoon, Jose appeared by the lion enclosure at the zoo, dressed in military uniform, climbed over railings and began scaling one of the walls in the enclosure before being picked up by one of the animals and thrown into a pit.

The 45-year-old was rescued around 30 minutes later, covered in scratches and bite marks. He was taken to the city’s Hospital de la Vall D’Hebron where he remains in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

According to Spanish reports, Jose climbed over fencing to enter the enclosure as horrified tourists watched on.
Footage of the bizarre incident shows him scaling one of the enclosure’s walls before being tossed by the leg into a pit by a lioness.

He emerged some 30 minutes later after fire fighters used hoses to fight the animals off of him.

Hong Kong police arrest protesters in main camp

News reaching our news desk says Police in Hong Kong have begun arresting protesters who have refused to leave the main site of a pro-democracy protest, in a final push by authorities to retake streets occupied by activists for two and a half months.

” Four officers carried away the first person by her arms and legs.

Many protesters have left the protest zone in Hong Kong’s city center but dozens of students, pro-democracy lawmakers and others remain behind. The students at the front are lying down and locking arms.

Workers carrying out a court order earlier removed barricades on the edge of the protest site before officers moved in and tore down tents. They had warned protesters that they faced arrest if they did not leave”

Instagram officially overtakes Twitter with 300 million users

Wow ! it was just like yesterday when Instagram was born, and now instagram is 4 years and doing very strong.  Few years later it was bought by Facebook in 2012 now has over 300 million users, officially overtaking Twitter which has 284million users as at 6 weeks ago.

Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom revealed today that more 70 million photos and videos are shared by its members every day.

Football fan passes note to man after spotting his girlfriend sending romantic texts to another man during a match

This should be a wake up call for people who cheats on their partners out there. An American football fan who went to watch a game passed a note to a man sitting in front of him (note pictured right) after spotting the man’s pregnant girlfriend sending romantic text messages to some other guy named ‘Jason’ through out the match.

The man named Lye said he was there to watch a game when he saw the woman sending messages like ‘I wish I was with you all day’ and ‘I will see you as soon as I am done with him’, and couldn’t help himself but tell the woman’s partner at the end of the game what she’d been up to.
     

He then later posted his experience on Facebook, explaining to his followers what happened and even shared a photo of the note he sent to the man and a picture of the couple at the game.

The images have since gone viral with many questioning if he was right to wade into a complete stranger’s relationship.

Lye claimed in his post that the woman kept the phone screen tilted out of eyesight of the man seated next to her, and would even shut it off and put it away when he engaged her in conversation.

Feeling sympathetic for the man seated in front of him, who he believes was being cheated on, Lye got up near the end of the game to find a pen and piece of paper to write the stranger a note.

When the man got up to leave, Lye handed the piece of paper to him and said to read it when he got home.

Lye later took to Facebook to post an image of the note and the woman who was was seated in front of him, showing the back of her head with her phone out, writing a text.

The pictures have since gone viral online and many have called Lye out for interjecting himself into the stranger’s relationship.

Lye has since defended his actions to  saying he usually likes to stay out of other people’s business, but overheard a few rude comments the woman made Mad World News,to the man she was with that made him pity her partner.

He says at one point in the game, another spectator commented on the size of a portion of fries saying: ‘Wow! For the price they charge for fries here, that’s pretty small. They barely give you anything.’

The woman in question allegedly quipped back: ‘It’s okay, I’m [used] to small things’.

Others criticized Lye for possibly putting the pregnant woman in harms way, pointing out that her boyfriend could have been abusive.

Congratulation to 17 year old Pakistani girl rights activist, Malala Yousafzai as she received her Nobel Peace Prize today  Dec. 10th at the city hall in Oslo, Norway. She won the award in October alongside Indian activist Kailash Satyarthi. Receiving her award, Malala said

Meet lina Medina the Girl Who Gave Birth At Age 5

Lina Medina is a Peruvian woman who is the youngest confirmed mother in medical history, giving birth at the age of five years, seven months and 17 days. When she was five years old, Lina Medina of Ticrapo, Huancavelica Region, Peru was brought to a hospital by her parents because of her increasing abdominal size. Lina’s parents suspected that their daughter was suffering from a tumor in her stomach, but doctors were instead shocked to discover that the young female was in her seventh month of pregnancy. Her parents were shocked, but they later revealed that their daughter had strangely begun menstruating when she was only eight months old and had prominent bosoms by the time she was four.
Dr. Gerardo Lozada took Lina to Peru so that other specialists could confirm that she was indeed expecting. That move expectedly attracted a lot of attention. In fact, a North American filmmaking company offered Lina and her family $5,000 for the rights to document the unbelievable story. The offer was rejected.

Meanwhile, at Peru, the original diagnosis of Lina’s advanced pregnancy was upheld, and on May 14, 1939, Lina delivered a healthy baby boy, Gerardo Medina, via caesarian section. Doctors who performed the surgery noted that Lina already had fully mature sexual organs at the time she gave birth to her son. The boy, by the way, was raised to believe that Lina was actually her sister, but at ten years of age, he discovered that Lina was really his mother. Nevertheless, they continued to treat each other like brother and sister.

On the question of who had gotten Lina pregnant, her father, Tiburelo Medina, was actually arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse. However, he was later released due to lack of evidence.
